"To preserve our independence, we must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt.  We must make our election be between economy and liberty or profusion and servitude."  -Thomas Jefferson

Thank you for visiting my web site, I am always working to preserve Liberty and Freedom for all.

As a libertarian, I seek a country based on Liberty; a country in which all individuals are sovereign over their lives and a country where no one is forced to sacrifice his or her values for the benefit of others.

As a libertarian, I believe the respect for individual rights is the essential precondition for a free and prosperous world and that force and fraud must be banished from human relationships; and that only through freedom can peace and prosperity be realized.

As a libertarian,  I will defend each person's right to engage in any activity is peaceful and honest and welcome the diversity that freedom brings.   The country in which I want to live is one where individuals are free to follow their own dreams in their way without interference from the government or any authoritarian power.

As a libertarian, I believe individuals should be free to make choices for themselves and accept the responsibility for the consequences of the choices they make.

As a libertarian,  I believe no individual, group or government entity may initiate force against any other individual or group.

With your vote I can change that! I am asking that you be libertarian with me this election!

I am available to speak to service organizations, union halls, employers and anywhere else Liberty calls.  So if you're a member of Rotary, Lions, Kiwanis, Altrusa, Soroptomist, AAUW  or other service organization please contact me to set up a time when I can come speak to your group.

If you're not in the second district, there are many other districts where a libertarian will be on the ballot for Congress!   Please click here to find our list of candidates...

Happy Fourth of July!

Call me and old softy, but I still get goosebumps and teary-eyed when I hear our National Anthem, "God Bless America" and most recently "I'm Proud to be an American."

I have great respect for Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, John Hancock, Patrick Henry and our forefathers brought forth this great nation.

A new nation "conceived in liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal" as Abraham Lincoln eloquently spoke.

This beacon of hope to the world would become an example of what a Free Republic with Limited Government would bring to its people and the world.

Yet today, too many people see our Declaration of Independence and Constitution as documents of "negative liberties," and politicians of today in both major parties have worked to dismantle them word by word.

I will always support Declaration of Independence, Constitution and the spirit with which it was written.

So go out today and enjoy the parades, the beach, the BBQs and the fireworks; don't forget The blood sweat and tears that went into making today what it is.

God bless the United States of America!!

Orlando Terrorist Attack

It goes without saying that I am deeply saddened by the recent events in Orlando and Los Angeles.

It does not surprise me either that our president and many politicians are calling for more and stricter gun control.  Needless to say, I will never ask the people of this country to give up their constitutional rights for a false sense of security.

I want to point out that despite making marijuana illegal by making it a schedule 1 drug, it is still more prevalent now than ever before.  Making it illegal does not make it impossible to get.

Despite all attempts to prevent it, true hate can always find a way to make its evil known. So what do we do?

Be diligent.

If your state allows concealed carry, then conceal carry; if your state allows open carry, open carry. One armed person with a gun in that night club could have prevented a lot of deaths.

If your state does not allow open or concealed carry, then consider running for office to change that.

Be alert.

Whenever you're out, make it a point to be aware of your surroundings and don't be totally blind as to what is going on.

Be prepared.

It is sad to even have to mention this, but always know how to get out in the case of an emergency. It might not be a shooter, but it might be a fire.

There is no need for massive government intervention to address this issue, but they sure will try.

Again I offer up my prayers and regards to the families who are now dealing with this senseless tragedy.
